Early French Bisque Shoulder Head Fashion Doll in Religieuse Costume, with closed mouth, fixed pale-blue glass eyes, pierced ears, cork pate, rigid fabric body with kid lower arms and mitten hands, in the original navy blue wool habit, white cotton surplice and bonnet, crucifix on chain, wool and linen undergarments, knitted blue stockings and brown kid shoes, ht. 14 3/4 in., (firing imperfection at mold line above left ear, tiny spot of color loss on lower left cheek).
