Jean Louis Forain (French, 1852-1931) Lot of Three Images: Le noeud de cravate, from CROQUIS PARISIENS, 1880, possibly a later printing (Faxon, 20); Croquis de femme nue, la tete contre l'oreiller, first plate (Guerin, 69); and Le Christ portant sa Croix (4e planche), first state (Faxon, 116). Each signed or inscribed "forain" in pencil l.r. Etching or drypoints on paper, plate sizes to 11 3/4 x 15 3/4 in. (29.8 x 39.9 cm), each matted, the last framed. Condition: Several fox marks, Christ toned and with surface abrasions, not examined out of frame. The signature on Noeud may be apocryphal.
