Harold Eugene Edgerton (American, 1903-1990) Densmore Shute Bends the Shaft. Unsigned, stamped "H.E. EDGERTON, M.I.T. 4-405, CAMBRIDGE - MASS." and inscribed "D... Shute" on the reverse. Gelatin silver print, image size 7 1/2 x 8 5/8 in. (19.1 x 21.9 cm), unframed. Condition: Good. Provenance: From the artist to the family of the present owner. The sheet is subtly toned on the verso and has minute crimps to the corners. There are several extremely subtle rubs to the surface.
