" l.r., identified on labels, including two from the Vose Galleries of Boston and an exhibition label (see below), affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, 30 1/2 x 50 1/2 in. (77.5 x 128.3 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch. Exhibition: "Alexander Charles Stuart," Brandywine River Museum, March 22-May 18, 1997. Scattered retouch in all quadrants, including a restored tear with retouch in the u.l. quadrant (approx. 3 1/2 in. in the sky area), and a circular area of retouch in the u.r. quadrant (approx. 2 1/2"H x 4"W in the sky area).
