Marguerite Stuber Pearson (American, 1898-1978) Quarry Dock, Rockport Signed and dated "M. S. PEARSON '27" l.l., identified on a Boston Art Club exhibition label (see below) affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas mounted onto board, 14 x 16 in. (35.6 x 40.6 cm), framed. Condition: Craquelure. Exhibition: "Exhibition of Intimate Pictures," Boston Art Club, March 15-31, 1928. Minor retouch is small scattered areas. Scattered stable craquelure. The work would probably benefit from a gentle cleaing.
