Henry Martin Gasser (American, 1909-1981) Town on a Hill Signed "H. GASSER" l.l., identified on a period exhibition label (see below) affixed to the reverse. Watercolor on paper/board, sight size 21 1/2 x 28 1/2 in. (54.6 x 72.4 cm), framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame. Exhibition: "Annual Exhibition," National Academy of Design, 1955. Paper laid onto chipboard, brown gum taped to window mat, scored marks on sheet for telephone lines that appear in intentional to the work, inscribed "Pennsylvania Winter" in color pencil and identified on a label from the Dayton Art Institute on the reverse.
