Jamini Roy (Indian, 1887-1972) Portrait of a Woman with Blue Sari Signed in Bengali l. r. Tempera on paper, sheet size 16 3/4 x 11 1/2 in. (42.5 x 29.2 cm), framed. Condition: Fine craquelure, minor tear in the u.l. quadrant, taped to beveled mat, minor skinning to the reverse. Craquelure primarily to woman''s earrings, pupils, and brown pattern; tear in u.l. quadrant is in the rose-colored background and approx. 1/2 in. length, masking taped to beveled mat.
