Käthe Kollwitz (German, 1867-1945) Schlachtfeld plate six from BAUERNKRIEG, 1921, (Klipstein, 96xi). Dated and identified in the plate, inscribed in pencil beneath the image. Etching and aquatint printed in blue/black on cream wove paper, 16 x 21 in. (40.5 x 53.3 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Margins 3 1/2 inches or more, subtle toning. The toning is minor. There is a small loss tot he corner of the margin l.r. There are a number of handling creases (all unpressed, and fairly minor).
