Chinese, late 19th/ early 20th century (possibly earlier). A tall hand painted blue and white porcelain vase or double lobed form with upper lobe being rounded and lower lobe having squared sides, the lower lobe with central figural cartouches to each side surrounded by many Shao symbols within circles, upper lobe with four round cartouches having birds and butterflies within also surrounded by Shao symbols within circles, the incurvate neck with geometric patterning and further figural and animal cartouches, the foot with lappet pattern and the mouth with leaf tip band, the beveled shoulder with cloud scrolls and Shao symbols. Unmarked. Approximately 21.375" tall x 10" diameter.
