Russian Silver Enamel and Hardstone-mounted Egg, bearing marks for Ivan Petrovich Khlebnikov, Imperial warrant, and 1908-17, body enameled in pattern similar to embroidery, with red scrolls on green and white dotted ground, ends with flowerhead bands, large end mounted with a dark red-brown cabochon hardstone, possibly a carnelian, goldwashed interior, lg. 3 1/8 in., approx. 4 troy oz. minor hairlines and tiny chip to smaller end. minor discoloration/surface wear to white enameled dots around center perimeter.
