Victorian Silver and Etched Glass Claret Jug, London, 1873, J. , E., W. & J. Barnard, makers, classical urn form, with engine turned neck rim with short spout and flat lid, loop handle, applied to body with bands engraved with paterae roundels, on low trumpet foot, the colorless glass body etched to top with anthemion, and to bottom with fine reeding, ht. 12 in. join of body to foot appear strengthened with glue, with thin glue residue to base of glass approx. 1/2 to 2" above foot join.
