George III Silver Basket, bearing marks for London, 1804, George Smith & Thomas Hayter, oval, with swing handle, reeded rims, on low foot, with later floral chasing and embossing, wd. 13 3/4 in., approx. 27 troy oz. later chased and embossed. marks ok. center with oval of silver applied overtop of roundel, and with light pinpoints.
