Needlework Family Register, "Wrought by Miss Ester Dyer, July AD 1827," Cranston, Rhode Island, embroidered tall barber pole columns flanking rows of alphabets, a verse, a house and the vital statistics of Daniel Pearce Dyer, his wife Abby and their three children, (toning, stains), 18 3/4 x 19 1/4 in. Note: Esther Dyer was born July 18, 1815. She married Abraham W. Waterman (b. April 27, 1821) on November 21, 1844; he died a year later on January 2, 1846. She then married Abraham's older brother Andrew Waterman (b. Jan 8, 1808) on September 7, 1847. They resided in Cranston, Rhode Island, and had two children, Daniel born in 1849, and Frances, or Fanny, born in 1853. Andrew died two years later on October 26, 1855, and Esther died January 2, 1898. Some of the color had bled from the stitches in the central area. The last portion of the verse is unfinished, overall toning.
