Cased Ship Model of 1851 America's Cup Yacht America, Boston, late 20th century, vessel identified on pennant and plaque, mounted in an inlaid mahogany glazed case on a mahogany stand, overall ht. 64, wd. 43, dp. 16 in. Note: The America was designed by George Steers of Hoboken, New Jersey, owned by the New York Yacht Club Syndicate, and was built by William H. Brown. Excellent condition.
