Framed "Black Valley Railroad" Temperence Lithograph, printed by Ch. Crosby and lithographed in color by E. Ackerman, Boston, 1863, the temperance poster The Black Valley Railroad was metaphor depicting the road to destruction for those who drank alcohol. The train depicts partiers and drunks at the "Drunkard's Curve" station, and according to the time-table legend will be follwed by several stops on the track to destruction including Rowdyville, Prisonton, Murder Hollow, ending at "Destruction at Dead River.."sight size 176n3/4 x 17 5/8 in., in a molded woood frame.
