Classical Mahogany Carved and Mahogany Veneer Glazed Desk Bookcase, probably Manchester, Massachusetts, c. 1825, the molded cornice with carved gadrooning centering an eagle and shield, the lower section with top drawer folding down to a compartmented multi-drawer desk interior, flanked by carved eagles perched on branches, ht. 84 1/2, wd. 45, dp. 20 in. secondary wood interior drawers mahogany; red chalk numbers all over drawer parts; piece of arched molding off, but in the drawer; one cracked glass; ink stains.
