Paint-decorated Pine Dower Chest, John Seltzer, Jonestown, Dauphin County (now Lebanon County), Pennsylvania, 1794 the facade with thre tombstone panels, the center panel with an arrangement of flowers issuing from a goblet, flanked by urns, one of which is signed "John Seltzer 1794," original surface, (imperfections), ht. 22 1/2, wd. 50, dp. 21 3/4 in. top worn, and with pait loss due to moistrure damage; abrasions to base and edge of top; facade in good condition.
