Cobalt Decorated Advertising Stoneware Crock, Rensselaerville, New York area, mid-19th century, wide-mouth ovoid crock with lug handles, cobalt impressed lettering made for "WM MAGNIVY GROCER RENSSELAERVILLE NY," decorated with a brush flower sprig, (hairlines), ht. 9 1/8 in. two hairlines above one handle and one hairline above the other handle about 1 1/2 in. lg., some darkish discoloration on top third of vessel.
