Portrait Miniature of a Gentleman, probably Continental, c. 1810, indistinctly signed "Wottsmuller" c.r., watercolor and gouache on ivory showing a bust-length oval portrait of the blue-eyed man wearing a white shirt and cravat, white patterned vest and blue jacket, 2 1/8 x 1 3/4 in., in an oval brass locket case with an empty compartment on the reverse. Condition: Some pigment deterioration. Pigment deterioration mainly on jacket, a little smudgy.
