Needlework Sampler, late 18th/early 19th century, pieced sampler worked in silk threads on a gauze ground, with a pious verse section applied above a central reserve stitched with a horse, dog, stag, and a bird in a tree with assorted flowers and trees and the initials "AJ," enclosed by an applied border of geometric flowering vines, (toning, minor old small gauze repairs), 15 1/2 x 13 in.
