Three Painted Wooden Frames, America, 19th century, one with rabbeted joinery with applied molding painted red and dark brown, 19 3/4 x 15 3/4, inner aperture 16 x 12 in; a mitered frame with faux bird's-eye maple painted graining, 11 5/8 x 11 1/8, inner aperture 8 5/8 x 8 1/4 in.; a carved and molded rectangular frame painted brown, 10 1/4 x 8 1/2, inner aperture 7 1/8 x 5 1/4 in. The first frame has knawing losses on about 5 1/2 x 1/2 in. on the back of two edges , not noticeable from the front.
