Solon Francis Montecello Badger (American, 1873-1919) Portrait of the Schooner Elmer E. Gray off Cape Ann (Thacher Island) Light Station, Masaachusetts. Signed "SFM Badger" l.r., vessel identified on stern and pennant. Oil on canvas, c. 1900, depicting the two-masted schooner in choppy waters with a shoreline and two lighthouses in the distance, 22 x 36 in., in a late 20th century molded wood frame. Condition: Relined, minor small spots of retouch in background sky.
