Mahogany Double-Steeple Clock by Elisha Manross, Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1845, with painted zinc dial, Roman numerals, transfer and paint-decorated tablets, printed maker's label inside case, and eight-day strap brass fusee movement mounted in attached iron frame, ht. 23 1/2 in. Some losses on painted tablet, dial is undisturbed, object right half-round lower section of case lacking veneer.
