Carroll Thayer Berry (American, 1886-1978) Still Life with Fruit and Seedpods Unsigned, identified on an artist estate label on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 24 x 30 in. (61.0 x 76.2 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle canvas deformations, patch reinforcement, small tears, surface grime. Patch reinforcement in the l.l. quadrant, approx. 3 x 2 in., over a restored tear that appears to have been wax patched without retouch; tear in the u.r. quadrant along stretcher bar approx. 1/2 in. length, and a tear in the corner of the l.r. quadrant, approx. 1/2 in. length.
