Lajos Bruck (Hungarian, 1846-1910) Ready for School Signed "Bruck. Lajos-" l.r., a label from the Fogg Art Museum affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 18 x 12 3/4 in. (45.7 x 32.4 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch, surface rubs, surface grime. The work is lined with glue or resin with black tape to edges and tacking edge. There are scattered areas of light skinning and surface rubs. Retouch is several scattered small areas and medium-sized areas of light glazes. The work might benefit from a gentle cleaning.
