Soap Hollow painted pine blanket chest , stenciled B. M. 1855 manufactured by C.J. Hochstetler , surrounded by typical floral decoration, the chest is unique in that it was originally fitted with a turned foot, probably a mid western example as it was found in Wisconsin and is possibly related to C.M.
