French Empire Giltwood Mirror, early 19th century, rectangular cornice with leaftip-molded frieze above a panel carved with the head of a classical maiden, foliage and trumpets, rectangular plate flanked by a frame carved with beading and foliage, ht. 53 3/4, wd. 27 in. Overall very good condition; some shrinkage cracking, particularly to the maiden medallion; age typical minor defects; old gilding.
