Large Whimsical French Brass and Patinated Metal Lighthouse-form Clock and Barometer late 19th century, black patinated metal body with brass trimmings, top with orange glass "light" enclosing single bulb, mounted with thermometer to side, and barometer and clock dials to front, clock dial blue floral printed enamel, on round slate base, electrified, ht. 34 3/4 in. Provenance: By repute, this clock was originally displayed in the dining salon of financier J.P. Morgan's yacht, "Corsair." with key, pendulum, and a few colored glass replacement panels. Lacking glass section of one of the thermometers at top. The other thermometer lacking the pin at top the attached it to the body. Minor metal darkening and very light handling wear.
