Early Victorian Rosewood and Mother-of-pearl Inlaid Sarcophagus-form Tea Caddy, mid 19th century, domed lid with beaded edging, inlaid with mother-of pearl flowers and silver metal banding, tapering sides with turned handles and feet, interior with two lidded, foil-lined wells, 6 1/2 x 9 x 4 3/4 in. silvered metal fillets lifting slightly, and showing some tiny spots of reglue. Minor nick to right front corner. Side knobs later. traces of foiling to interior. some sunfading.
