Continental Metallic-thread Embroidered Ecclesiastical Robe, 19th century, elaborately worked throughout with raised designs of flowerheads, leaftips and scroll work, all on a burgundy velvet ground, ht. 50, wd. across shoulders 21 1/2 in. Moderate to heavy fading to the velvet ground to back and one side of each sleeve; metallic threadwork still in very good condition; inner linen lining a little brittle.
