Portrait Miniature of George Benjamin Redington of Littleton, New Hampshire, c. 1830, unsigned, watercolor on ivory, the subject identified in short genealogy on paper inside case, 2 5/8 x 2 1/8 in., housed in a gilt-brass case with chased bezel, with an empty small oval compartment on the reverse. Condition: Very good. Note: George Benjamin Redington was born on November 27, 1808 in Charlestown, Massachusetts, and later became an influential businessman in Littleton, New Hampshire, founding scythe and box factories and participating in the construction of the White Mountain Railroad.
