Stoneware Jar and Jug, America, 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jar with open loop handles, impressed maker's marks "CHARLESTOWN" and eagle and cannon, Albany slip-glazed interior, (hairline, minor chips), ht. 13 1/2; and a four-gallon jug with incised lines about the shoulder and raised medial band, ht. 16 3/4 in. Charlestown-2 in. hailine above left from eagle mark, 2 very small shallow rim chips, two potstone bursts; 4 gal. jug- three superfluous blobs of cobalt on handle and shoulder.
