Painted Wooden Ship Diorama, America, late 19th/early 20th century, with painted sky and vessels on the background panel, painted putty sea, (imperfections), ht. 16 3/4, wd. 29, dp. 5 1/4 in. Some of the metal devices (anchor, rigging implements etc.) are coated with a fuzzy white corrosion. There may have been another smaller vessel to the right as there is an empty impression in the putty, but has been long gone.
