Mahogany Reeded Column and Scroll Clock by Norris North & Company, Torrington, Connecticut, circa 1820, with scroll top and brass finials, two glazed doors flanked by flat reeded columns, painted wooden dial with raised gilt decoration, floral corners and Arabic numerals, printed maker's label stating Patent Improved Clock, Made and Sold by Norris North & Co. , Torrington , 30-hour 'Torrington' wooden movement with count wheel strike, two iron weights and pendulum, ht. 26 1/2 in. upper 1 1/2 in. portion of both scrolls replaced, repainted glass, backboard with numerous attachment holes and a knot hole, hole through object left portion of bottom board, dial cleaned, in-painted and numerals relined, renewed attachment strips in case for dial, smaller of three finials are original, center is a replacement.
