Mahogany Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, with half-round frames enclosing reverse-painted tablets, the lower depicting The Boston State House , the center flanked by brass side ornaments, 7 1/2 in. dia. painted iron dial with roman numerals, brass bezel and eagle finial, molded lower pediment and battery-operated movement, ht. 41 in. Movement is now a modern battery operated example. Possibly a "slave" clock originally with time indication supplied by a master.
