Pair of Framed Painted Cut-paper Pictures, 19th century, the two pictures composed of intricately cut white paper borders and motifs with watercolor painted round reserves on a light blue paper ground, one centered with a sailing vessel flanked by musical instruments and weapons of war, accented by cut -paper rampant lions, musical instruments, weapons of war, mermaids, and floral and foliate swags; the other centered with a spire-topped building, flanked by seashells, accented with cut-paper floral, foliate, and bird designs, sight size 12 1/4 x 15 1/4 in., in later eglomise mats and molded giltwood frames.
