Pair of Classical Mahogany and Marble-top Side Cabinets, c. 1840, each with black marble top above a slide and frieze drawer, all above a recessed door with arched paneling and freestanding columnar supports, carved paw feet, ht. 45 1/2, wd. 23 1/2, dp. 22 1/2 in. Overall good; one with approx. 5 inches of missing veneer to top front edge, 4 inch loss to molding on left side; other with small veneer chip to left side and scattered minor loss; chip to corner of marble top; formerly the ends of a sideboard; very good veneer.
