Jean Lurcat (French, 1892-1966) Les Nuages Mouvementes Signed and dated "Lurcat 34" lower right, identified on a label from Bignou Gallery, New York, on the reverse. Oil on Masonite, 20 x 31 in. (50.8 x 78.7 cm), in a Carl Sandelin frame. Condition: Surface grime. Provenance: From the collection of Louis Albert McMillen. Incised "frame made for/Bignou Galleries by/Carl Sandelin -framemaker/133E60th St. N.Y.C." on the reverse. There are areas of pigment florescence. The work would probably benefit from a cleaning.
