After Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973) Wood-owl Woman, 1951, edition of 500 (Ramie, 119). Inscribed "EDITION PICASSO" underneath, stamped "D'APRES PICASSO" and "MADOURA..." underneath. Turned earthenware vase with white and black glazes, height 12 in. (30.4 cm). Condition: Minor surface grime. The surface grime and dust is minor. There are tiny pin-point pits to the white glaze, and some of this glaze was applied hastily, leaving exposed areas showing through. There is a minor (less than 1/4 inch) chip to the underside of the foot.
