Max Klinger (German, 1857-1920) INTERMEZZI (Radierung Opus IV) /Portfolio of Twelve Images , 1881 (Singer, 52-63). Each identified in the plate, set identified on the portfolio cover. Etchings with aquatint on chine collé, sheet sizes 24 3/4 x 17 5/8 in. (62.8 x 44.6 cm), presented in the original portfolio (wear). Condition: Toning and wear to edges, several with fox marks. Provenance: Property of the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard Art Museum, sold to benefit the acquisition fund.
