Bernard Buffet (French, 1928-1999) La Cafetière, alternatively titled Still-Life a la Coffee-Pot, 1955, edition of 300 (Mourlot, 14). Signed "Bernard Buffet" in pencil l.r., numbered "162/300" in pencil l.l. Color lithograph on Rives paper with watermark, image size 27 x 19 1/2 in. (68.4 x 49.5 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Surface abrasions, margins over 1 inch with deckled edges, staining, brown paper tape to the upper edge on the reverse. The sheet measures 30 x 22 inches. There are two surface cuts c.l., below the handle of the pot, and one c.r. above the rim of the glass. There is a rub or scuff to the image above the signature, and a 1/2 inch surface cut to the margin below the "rd" of the signature. There is over all staining, probably caused by corrugate cardboard.
