Eero Saarinen Attributed Oak and Black-finished Steel Table, three-part base accompanied by six oak boards, copies of research documentation and blueprints from Yale University, boards cut randomly, lg. 13 ft. 6 in. Provenance: Purportedly from The Music Room at Yale University, blueprints copied from the Yale archives have lead to conjecture that the base was discarded during renovations and the top cut up to get the table out of the building. Note: The specifications on the blueprint match the base and further research on specifications explain the top and finish. The top thickness can be duplicated, a quote for materials for oak that thickness and length came in at under two thousand dollars.
