Dominick & Haff Gold-washed Sterling Aesthetic Movement Demitasse Set, 1881, comprising slender balustroid pot, ovoid creamer and open sugar, and a pair of sugar tongs, all with all-over hammered surface, the three former chased and embossed with swallows, ducks, cranes, and apple blossoms, the sugar tongs etched with bamboo to one arm, and a spider on a web to the other, pot ht. 8, engraved to underside of pot, creamer, and sugar with monograms and dates 1833-83, approx. 29 troy oz. mellowing of goldwash, particularly to the pot. minor, unobtrusive ding to base of body of sugar.
