Late 19th/ early 20th century. A group of silver plated tabletop items comprising of an Egyptian Revival standish or desk tray raised on four Sphinx form feet and having cyma curved sides, the top with band of rolling wave form decoration at edge, two ovular channels to body, and central figural Sphinx flanked to front and back by square cut glass inkwells with copper collars, unmarked; and a footed Art Nouveau basket with cobalt glass insert, the stand with reticulated oak leaf and acorn motif and folding handle at top, unmarked.
