Continental Baroque Carved Oak and Elmwood Blanket Chest, dated 1718, with rectangular top, the case with carved and scrolled frieze centered by the date and the initials AR, above three panels and two base drawers, on block feet, ht. 29, wd. 53, dp. 21 in. Top with side to side shrinkage crack, with losses along same, some fill repairs along the same and scattered areas of worming; case with age typical defects, both drawer interiors have been replaced.
