George III Mahogany Chest on Chest, cornice carved with dentil molding, fluting, and flowerheads; upper section with two short and three long drawers; lower section with brushing slide, three long drawers and shaped bracket feet, ht. 72 1/2, wd. 43, dp. 22 in. Drawers somewhat ill fitting in places; two side moldings off but present; butterfly shaped veneer loss to left edge of lower section; back pieces and carcass pieces loose but present ; good color and timber; age typical additional minor defects.
