Italian Carved Hardstone Cameo of Hercules after Canova, 19th century, oval, depicting the nude god holding a club and standing beside a tree trunk, white figure on black ground, background incised "Ant. Canova" to left, and "Nic. Morelli Inci" to right, pedestal on which figure stands indistinctly incised "Omariva Possed" (?), in gilt-metal frame, cameo lg. 1 3/4, frame 2 3/4 x 2 1/4 in. Very good to excellent condition.
