Edward VIII Silver-clad Mantel Timepiece, the silver hallmarked Birmingham 1938, maker's mark WD, wood balloon case enclosed in sterling, the front engraved with scalloped bands, leaf garlands, and drapery swags, mounted on ogee molded wood base, ht. 11 1/4 in. wood base, and exposed edges of wood body with finish wear. A few brads missing that attach silver to wood. marks a bit rubbed from cleaning. key present.
