Pair of Continental Silver Candlesticks, likely Polish, mid to late 19th century, thistle sconce, baluster stem, with leaftip banding, on square base with foliate chased and embossed band, top of stem and foot with leaf cut-card decoration, ht. 13 3/4 in., approx. 34 troy oz. lacquered, with lacquer yellowing, a few pinpoints, denting to edges of drip pans, one sconce with seam opening up slightly. one foot engraved "from Mom & Pop 10-6-49".
