Russian Gold-washed Silver Triptych Travel Icon, Moscow, 1908-17, maker's mark B. C, formed as a point arch, with front doors opening to painted icon of the Virgin Kazanskaya, flanked by panels of angels, with latch to base and bail to top, with crucifix and line engraving to exterior, lg. 3 3/8, 4 3/8 in. Good, with minor rubbing to goldwash. the paintings with minor craquelure, and with later applied clear lacquer/varnish over surfaces.
